 The Sweetest Mother's Day
(I know...a month late!)

Dh worked at the PD on Saturday night before Mother's Day.  He worked until about 4:30 on Sunday morning, so he was getting to sleep in.  I heard J come into our room about 7 and go into our bathroom and the water running.  No big deal, as I thought he was just up getting a drink of water.  He saw me looking at him (I was still in bed), so he smiled at me and told me to look up by my pillow.  It was the sweetest thing.  He had gotten up, gone to the kitchen and gotten me a Pop-Tart and put it by my pillow.  Then he had gone into the bathroom and filled up a cup (that still had a bit of chocolate milk in the bottom of it...EWWW) with water for me to drink.  I didn't want to wake up dh, so I told J we would go to his room to eat and we could talk.

So I sat down on his bed and opened up my Pop-Tart.  He was smiling from ear to ear, as I'd told him how awesome this was and it was so nice of him to think of me that morning.  After I finished my breakfast, he got up and went over to his nightstand where I had put my cup of chocolate milk-water and picked it up to hand it to me.  It was murky from the milk, so I knew I wouldn't be able to handle drinking it, so I suggested we go downstairs and I could drink some coffee from the mug he had made me at school.  Again, he had a HUGE smile on his face because he was proud of that mug!

He was so cute.  No one had put him up to getting up and getting me breakfast.  He did that all on his own, so I was extra proud of him.  He's so thoughtful and it warmed my heart that he thought of me like that.  It truly made the day start out great!
