 Back to Work
Wasn’t I working the whole time I was out?

Hi everyone, just thought I'd do a really quick update. This is my third week back at work. It's going pretty well. E is sleeping through the night here and there, so I'm not totally sleep deprived! I think his first night to sleep through was 11/27, or somewhere around there. He has adapted well to K (the babysitter). He knows he's loved wherever he is! He is quite the charmer these days, smiling and talking, and he's never fussy except when he has a reason to be.
We bought him a new crib over the weekend. We got one of those that converts to a full size bed. I hope we still like it in 15 years!
CC is doing well for the most part. She's had a runny nose and I think the antihistamine was making her cranky, plus the fact that she can't sleep in until 9:00 anymore! Consequently, she takes 3 hour naps most days. She's the standard 3 year old: emotional at times but very entertaining. I actually have started taking her to violin lessons, in fact today is her first actual lesson. She's doing the Suzuki method, which is the only way I know of to start this early (look at YouTube if you want to see it in progress). I don't know if she'll take to it, but there's only one way to find out!
I have to share this funny thing that happened at work yesterday. I was in the kitchen at work rinsing out my pumping stuff when a guy came up behind me. He must have (at least I hope) thought that I was making my lunch, because he said "Got enough for me?" I just laughed a little in response, thinking "oh, if you only knew what I was doing". Isn't that funny?? I really don't enjoy pumping, but at least I can do it at my own desk and keep working!
Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. We're finally getting some snow.
