Test results and gearing up for my 1st IVF cycle
Heading to the poor house...

I got the results of my new 3 day FSH test and they were better than the first time. My FSH was 7.2! Nobody from the clinic ever said anything to me about the February results that were 9.7, so maybe I was making a bigger deal out of it in my mind than it really was.

The online pharmacy called me yesterday to let me know they had received my medication order from the REs office. I had them transfer the antibiotics for me and DH to a local pharmacy, along with the Medrol (some kind of steroid) because those drugs aren't fertility specific so our insurance will cover them. I may be able to get them to cover the progesterone in oil too, but I haven't heard back on that one yet. IVP care has a discount program for cash paying patients called DesignRx. I'm sure it made a difference, but the total for my other medications (Follistim, Menapur, Ovidrel and Ganirelix) came to $3,900! I may even need to order more depending on how well I stimulate. I sure hope this works the first time because we are only going to get a couple of shots at it. I hope the next couple of weeks go by quickly. I don't start the stims until the 31st (my 36th birthday ) and that seems so far away right now. I want to be doing something! I have been patient for the last two and a half years and I feel like I can't wait anymore. I guess I need to work on thinking about something else so I don't feel so obsessed...
