It's been TOO long since I have journaled.
When I come home from work I crawl in bed and sometimes don't even hear the phone ring. I wasn't tired in the 1st trimester, but it's coming to me now, with a vengeance!
Had the BIG US on Wednesday. Our Gummy Bear is OFICIALLY a BOY. I wanted a girl so bad; since I already have a boy
. Oh, well. I did a good job raising DS so, I guess this one should follow suit. I'm glad that he's got all of the appropriate parts.. feet (2), hands (2), brain (1), heart (1), and penis (1). And true to form he did exactly the opposite of what the US tech needed. He was bottom down, which made imaging everything difficult, and got firmly comfy behind my pelvic bone and went to sleep. Which maked imaging the lower part of his spine almost impossible. So I walked the hall, drank old water, jumped up and down, coughed, and tried leaning over to wake him up. No Dice! So she did the best she could with the images and sent us on our way. As soon as I as in the car sweet Gummy was awake and moving around. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY MY KID!
DH is a mystery to me. On the drive home I asked him if he was pleased. He said "Well, that's not it, right, I mean don't we have to wait until the doctor reads the results and tells us if ther is something wrong?" I wanted to hit him with something! (luckily for him he was driving the car). He's so analytical it drives me NUTS! So after me yelling at him for 5 minutes about 'taking little victories when you can... didn't you see that he has the appropriate parts, and they all move... they will let us know if something is wrong-What, do you WANT there to be something wrong? and several 4 letter words'. I asked him "Are you pleased with how the appointment went?" He promptly said "Yes, I think it's great!" They DO learn, though smacking them on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper is sometimes necessary.
