Want some cheese with that whine? (3 comments)

Gracelin has learned the art of whining. And for her, it truly is a fine art. She has perfected her voice so she can hit an ear-piercing squeal that gets on every last nerve I have. She is quite adept at using her newfound tool. Anytime she wants something she can’t have or doesn’t want to do something I’m making her do, she whines. It is oh-so annoying.
I’ve tried to ignore it, but I just can’t. I'm worried that if I cave in to what she wants that the whining will continue or get worse. But sometimes, I get so annoyed that I can't ignore it. The frustration level builds up and I want to scream myself. Its pretty sad to admit that a toddler has that much of an effect on me - and even worse to admit that I get frustrated with my own child. I do love her, but sometimes she just drives me insane.
Am I horrible to admit that?
Needless to say, she is a sweetie most of the time. She (like all of us) has her moments. Luckily they are usually short-lived. She really just gets grumpy when she's hungry, tired, or not feeling well. Its completely understandable.
I also wanted to post some pics from our weekend trip. For some reason, Shutterfly saved them out of order, but I think they're all there: http://share.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=EeENHDJs3YtmIR
