journal is in never never land, but here is my post anyways

Well, its been a while, but I do want to post more often.  I finally have my own computer, so I can use it whenever I want, instead of fighting DH over it.  A christmas present to myself of sorts. I really want to keep up this journal so I can remember all our milestones along the way.   Well, I think when I left off the boys were having a tough time with school.,  Their pre-school essentially refused to take them back so I went to our town who has a wonderful pre-k program and begged them to take them in.  I told them you either deal with them now, or kindergarten.  Thankfully they accepted them.  The program is just awesome.  They go every afternoon.  School is from 12:25-3:15, but they also transport them by bus, so the usually get picket up at 11:55 and get home at 4pm.  They are tired when they get home, but its been great skipping the nap and getting to bed by 7pm.

We separated the boys into different classrooms and it seems to have made all the difference in the world.  They are doing so much better with discipline.  The teacher said they dont even have to do any interventions at this time!!  They are going with the flow just like all the other kids.  They have also learned a ton.  Seamus knows all his letters and numbers now and can sound them all out.  Aidan is just about there as well, but seems to like sounds over the actual name of the letter.  They are still very active, but I dont think that they really have ADHD, just need a lot of structure and discipline.

Seamus is so cute these days.  He is a real talker and analyzer.  Just the other day he asked me what "consequences" are.    When I told him, he said "I think Aidan needs consequences"  so funny.  He is still a little drama king and can get over excited about things, but is much better at following directions and listening than ever before.  He is a little more cautious than Aidan but is very social and loves to help around the house.  Loves to empty the dishwasher, change laundry from washer to dryer, fold clothes, vaccuum.  He really comes in handy> Smile

Aidan is my little love bug.  He tells me about ten times a day that he loves me and gives me spontaneous kisses all the time.   He loves to cuddle, and just loves his mommy!  Smile  He is definately the most affectionate of all my kids.  He also has a way with words....the other day he told me he keeps all my kisses in his heart!  I swear he is going to be a lady killer someday.  He is also very social, but definately the ring leader more than Seamus.  Aidan is always getting invited to parties and Seamus not so much.  Fortunately most Mom's know they are twins and always invite Seamus as well.  Aidan struggles more academically than Seamus, but hopefully his charm will be a big asset for him someday.  He is also quite sensitive and can easily get upset if he thinks anyone is laughing at him or making jokes about him.  He loves to be silly and goofy.

They love all boy things, from super heros, to skateboards, scooters, running, chasing each other ect.  They are still the best of friends, worst of friends depending on the day.  We had them start soccer in the fall, which they liked, but with school really being every day we havent done any after school activities this year.  Maybe in the spring.

MaryKate is doing awesome, she is getting big so fast.  She is in 4th grade and just mastered all her states and capitals.  School work is much more demanding now but she keeps up great.  She just has the best attitud.  My sister got married in Thailand over Christmas and me and MaryKate went there for the wedding.  It takes over 24 hours of flying to get there and she was a trooper about it all, never complaining once.  We had a great 10 days of pampering ourselves and exploring the amazing country that Thailand is.  The boys did well home with DH although Aidan did shove a bead up his nose resulting in a day long affair at two different ER's until it was finnally dislodged!  Boys  I tell ya, the excitement never ends.

Well that is my boring update for now.....maybe I will add pics next time.

Catherine
