 Long time no see
(0 comments)

I remember I used to be obsessed with this board years ago. For the longest time, I was just a lurker - the kind friendly sort Wink Then I got the courage to open my own journal. But, I haven't kept up with it too well.

September 18th I gave birth to baby Zachary. He's four months now and a real joy. He laughs and giggles and is especially ticklish. No matter how bad of a mood he is in, if I go to change his diaper, he will laugh b/c he's that ticklish.  No teeth yet, just a lovely toothless grin! And drool.. I've never seen anyone drool as much as he does! You would think he'd have some teeth with all the drool.

He is wearing size 6 mo. clothing. Last time I checked, he was 16 lbs.  He rolled over once but doesn't seem like he really cares to. He LOVES to stand up. He has good balance and stands when we hold him or in the activity center. He gets fussy in the bouncy seat or swing now.

He loves to babble and "talk".  He's getting louder and louder now.

Ashlyn is growing fast. She's very preschooler-ish now. She'll be 3 next month. She has a pretty big vocabulary and has a lot to say! She has a sweet and caring spirit.  She loves all things letters and books, although she can't actually recognize the letters yet. She sometimes knows A.  She loves songs and nursery rhymes and she loves art - collage, paint, drawing... she's very good with it.  She spends most of her time looking at books over toys.  She loves her dog and spends a little too much time wanting to give the dog "hugs", which I'm not sure the dog appreciates it as much Wink We have to redirect her to other things.

She's also turned into such a climber. That makes me nervous!

It seems like yesterday I found this site. It seems like yesterday I was dreaming of my next baby. Not only after waiting years for that next baby she is here and turning THREE, but I have another baby too. Life has been good to me.  Definately busier. Hectic and even chaotic at times, but so worth it. When I see Ash kiss Zach, I think and pray they will be lifelong friends. When my oldest plays games with Ash and holds Zach and tells them both she loves them, I feel such pride over my little family. 3 children really is a different dynamic and very fullfilling for me.
